History of the Union Station Hotel

Originally the Union Station Hotel was a train station built-in 1900. The once train station is now a signature piece of Nashville and serves as one of the premier hotels and event venues for weddings and events.

To maintain the history of the train station throughout the hotel during the renovation they preserved the heavy-stone Richardsonian-Romanesque design with marble floors, oak-accented doors and walls, and three Kentucky limestone fireplaces. The hotel is also known for the 65 foot, barrel-vaulted lobby ceiling which features gold-leaf medallions and the 100-year-old stained glass.

The Accommodations

As one of Nashville’s premier boutique hotels the accommodations are spectacular. The hotel features 125 premium guest rooms, including 17 signature suites. Weddings at the Union Station Hotel are stunning. If the wedding takes place in the grand lobby, all of the furniture is removed. The ceremony can take place in front of one of the Kentucky marble fireplaces. It is really a beautiful and amazing space. The hotel also has meeting and banquet rooms to host seated dinners, receptions, cocktail hours, and more.
